Tuscaloosa County man nurses deer back to health November 21, 2011 Alabama, Tuscaloosa News

Jimmy Tyner has been rehabilitating deer and other small wildlife since 1994 at his home in Ralph. Since he began, Tyner has nurtured and released 131 deer back into the wild.... The majority of the deer Tyner brings in are fawns whose mothers were hit by a car and would otherwise die on their own.
“Two or three months, and these guys are as wild as the rest,” Tyner said when asked about the animals becoming tame in captivity.  ...
