This number is down from the first part of the 21st century where at time there was an estimated 2 million deer....In the 2007-2008 deer season, the WFF implemented a three buck per season rule ... put more pressure on taking does... Hunting license sales are also in decline. Fewer hunters mean less operating revenue ...
