Permit system took bite out of Alabama dog hunting controversy May 22, 2011 The Huntsville Times - al.com, By Michael C. Bolton Deer hunters who use dogs are not 'at war' with landowners any more. It wasn't that long ago that the Conservation Advisory Board meetings looked like a saloon scene from an Old West movie. ..."The road hunting is just gone," he said. "I do think it is putting more responsibility back on each club. I think there's a change in the mentality of a lot of the dog hunters. I believe they're beginning to respect the people around them more."
