After several years of habitat improvement projects at the Canada de los Osos Ecological Reserve, the Reserve continues to produce great black-tailed deer ...Food, water, and cover are the key ingredients that have created the abundance of wildlife found at the Reserve. This past year, The Nature Conservancy bought an additional 1600 acres of property adjacent to Cañada de los Osos. The California Department of Fish and Game then bought the property through the Wildlife Conservation Board, and have added it to the Reserve.
