...The deer population is still recovering from last year’s winter which had a devastating impact, especially in the southeast corner of the state... “What will be the key here is that they also have a good summer and that means significant rainfall, enough rainfall that we have sufficient vegetation for our mule deer,” said Jennifer Jackson of Idaho Fish and Game. “Summer ranges are just as important as winter ranges.”
