Wolf hunting plan unveiled July 8, 2011 Idaho Lewiston Morning Tribune
Idaho Department of Fish and Game officials unveiled today a wolf hunting and trapping proposal without harvest limits in most of the state. Virgil Moore, director of the department, said the goal of the plan is to reduce the wolf population, help deer ...he said the state would strive to make sure there are enough wolves that normal population swings will not dip the population — now estimated at more than 1,000 — anywhere close to the 150 threshold that would trigger relisting studies under the Endangered Species Act.
