New deer plan up for comment, Indiana June 26, 2011 Indianapolis Star

There have been estimates of Indiana's white-tailed deer population, ranging anywhere from 500000 to 1 million. The state's Department of Natural Resources keeps tabs on the number of deer that hunters kill There are a number of other proposed changes, including youth and crossbow changes, that can be found online at in.gov/dnr/fishwild/2362.htm
The NRC and DNR are asking for public comment on the proposals and have scheduled these two public hearings at 6 p.m.:
July 25 -- Spring Mill Inn, Spring Mill State Park, 3333 Ind. 60 East, Mitchell.
July 26 --Miami County Fairgrounds, Community building, 1029 W. 200 N., Peru.
If you can't make the meetings, you have until July 27 to comment atin.gov/nrc/2377.htm. (Click on "comment on proposed rule" next to "deer amendments.")during the seasons, but it can only report
