Wildlife and Parks commission considers job cuts, tougher enforcement October 15, 2011 Kansas, Pratt Tribune
...Tim Donges of the Quality Deer Management Association asked the Board to consider enacting tougher regulations and stiffer fines for hunting violations... the area around Cassoday was experienceing an unusual number of incidents of poaching, trespassing and shooting from the road. He said he had received death treats, two doe deer had been shot in his yard, a neighbor had seven bullet holes in his buildings, another neighbor suffered the loss of a cow after it was shot in a barn....Ohio has enacted bigger fines for violators, he said. Kansas should do the same to help reduce the number of violations.
