Reward Offered in Deer Killing Crime in Silver Spring, MarylandJuly 13, 2011 The Humane Society of the United States and The Humane Society Wildlife Land Trust are offering a $2500 reward for information leading to the identification ... According to the Montgomery County Police, on June 24, a deer was shot in the backyard of a residence on the 700 block of Silver Spring Avenue. Neighbors heard the gunfire and soon after discovered a dead deer with a gunshot wound to the shoulder.“This appalling poaching crime reflects the callous disregard that poachers have for wildlife protection laws and public safety,” said Tami Santelli, Maryland state director for The HSUS.
