EHD is the most infectious viral disease among white-tailed deer... identified and described in New Jersey in 1955, has surged because of the hot and dry weather as what usually happens yearly in many southeastern states from July through October. The plague has recently reached areas in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. According to MDNR, the first real frost of the season will destroy the bugs, but they are expecting more deer deaths before that...
