The regulation – aimed at allowing more bucks to fully develop before they are harvested ... requires hunters to ensure antlered deer have at least one antler with a minimum of three points, with each point at least one inch long... “Our current regulations result in a shameful depletion of one of our most important natural resources, leading to a herd so imbalanced that Michigan citizens only rarely see a fully grown whitetail buck,” according to the initiative’s petition on Change.org.
