Kaliseum to host public meeting on proposed raising of antler restrictions in 12 area counties May 9, 2012 Michigan, Morning Star
Northwest Michigan Quality Deer Management Association (NW MI QDMA) ... are hoping to raise awareness and educate the hunting population on an upcoming Department of Natural Resources (DNR) survey regarding the proposed expansion of antler restrictions to 12 Northwest Michigan counties... Currently, 61 percent of bucks taken in those 12 counties average 1.5 years of age. In comparison, 32 percent of the bucks harvested in Leelanau County are 1.5 years of age.
