Mild winter prompts early migration March 29, 2012 Michigan, Sault Ste. Marie Evening News

As one of the mildest winters in recent Eastern Upper Peninsula history draws to a close, the deer yards are virtually empty, according to Wildlife Biologist Kristie Sitar ... “They’re way up near the (Lake Superior) shoreline already.” ... the mild winter should produce a bumper crop of fawns in late May and early June.
