Some residents near the township’s Foster Crouse Land Preserve questioned the township’s authority to allow hunting in land-preservation areas. The existing land-preserve ordinance was unclear about hunting, and attorneys advised the township to halt the management program in the disputed areas until board members could clarify it ... longtime hunter, who has bow hunted the last five years, said his wife convinced him to volunteer.  “She’s sick and tired of all those deer eating her hostas,”
