Meridian Township to seek second deer kill December 25, 2011 Michigan, Lansing State Journal

... Jane Greenway, parks and land management coordinator for the township, said 32 deer have been harvested ... Greenway said township manager Gerald Richards has given the green light to apply for a wildlife damage and investigation permit through the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.  If approved, the permit would allow the township to hold a special extended harvest through Feb. 29, 2012.
