"Did it get into Elk Run [the farm where a captive elk herd was infected with CWD, and later destroyed] and get back out? I don't know. It's a valid theory. Did it come from Wisconsin [which has infected wild deer]? It's unlikely. The nearest infection is 150 miles away and it would have had to get across the [St. Croix] river."
