Survey shows big drop in deer numbers in bovine TB core area  March 25, 2012 Minnesota, Grand Forks Herald

According to Dr. Michelle Carstensen, Wildlife Health Program coordinator for the DNR, the March 5-7 survey tallied an estimated population of 160 deer, by far the lowest count ever recorded in the survey.... Last year’s estimate, by comparison, was 500 deer, and the first year of the survey in 2007 yielded an estimate of more than 900 deer.
