... The DNR says the deer hunt generates 260-million dollars in retail sales and pumps 458-million dollars into the state's economy. Compare that to the 12-day state fair, which is good for about 185-million dollars to the twin cities economy.... Dave Halper bagged a nice buck and told us he spends about 600-dollars every deer season, and says it's well worth it.... The state takes in about 33 million dollars in taxes from the hunt.
