The Deer Licensing Bill November 21, 2011 Minnesota, Winona Daily News

Farmers with 80 acres or more shall, by request, be able to receive all the deer license to the legal kill of the area.....  The DNR has stated the maximum number of deer per square mile in Southeast Minnesota is to be 12-15, except for in area 344 where the DNR wants the count to be at 18-20 deer per square mile... the DNR should have to pay 50 percent of deer crop damage if the deer number is over 20 deer per square mile. If the deer count is over 30 deer per square mile the DNR shall have to pay 90 percent of deer damage.
