Two Harbors: Safety stressed in deer hunt talks April 21, 2011 Minnesota Urban Lake County News Chronicle


It's a topic that has come up...as the population of deer increases in the city. Many of the details of a hunt are still being worked out ...Some members suggested a fee for hunters. The main focus would be having a fee paid per year and not per deer. Bow hunters already pay a license fee to the DNR. The hunt would likely focus on does in the first seasons. Assistant Two Harbors Police Chief Kevin Ruberg said the city needs to look at the rules developed in Duluth and Hermantown for their bow hunts as a template for Two Harbors.
