The White Bear Lake City Council discussed troubling deer populations in northwest and southwest neighborhoods during its June 28 regular meeting. The council agreed to consider an aerial deer herd survey this winter and begin ...Results would cost the city $300-$500...Several north metro communities allow controlled hunts including Shoreview, Maplewood, Little Canada, Vadnais Heights and White Bear Township...The city of Mahtomedi conducted a deer survey last winter. After reviewing numbers and locations, the City Council declined to authorize a controlled hunt.
