White-tailed deer deaths linked to epizootic hemorrhagic disease have been verified along the Tongue River ... "There is not much we can do as EHD is a viral infection carried by a biting midge that white-tailed deer are especially vulnerable to," said John Ensign, Region 7 wildlife manager. "There is no human health risk, and this should mitigate once we start getting freezing nighttime temperatures."
