Commission approves plan to reduce deer population March 9, 2012 Nebraska, Lincoln Journal Star

Hunters will be encouraged to kill antlerless deer -- does -- along 1800 miles of river corridors this year as part of a Nebraska Game and Parks Commission plan to reduce the whitetail deer population... "Whitetail populations are declining in the east, and increasing in the central and western units," McCoy said. "Populations are high on all major rivers."
