Princeton: Area Deer Herd Has Doubled, Is Ailing September 21, 2011 New Jersey, Town Topics

...Animal Control Committee member Dona Schneider described a recent increase in the local deer population, compounded by the spread of epizootic hermorrhagic disease EHD)...not a danger to humans... The spread of EHD will end with the first heavy frost, but that is still weeks away...the deer herd has doubled in number..she recommended they renew their contract with White Buffalo, and the Committee members agreed to put $63,000 to cover the costs...
