DEC Proposes Hunting and Trapping Rule Changes for 2016 May 12, 2016 New York, DEC News
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is now accepting public comments on several regulatory proposals for hunting black bear and white-tailed deer ... DEC proposes to rescind the antlerless-only requirement for portions of the bow and muzzleloader seasons in WMUs 1C, 3M, 3S, 4J, 8A, 8C, 8F, 8G, 8H, 8N, 9A, and 9F, again allowing take of antlered and antlerless deer during the entire bow and muzzleloader seasons in these units... For more detailed explanations of these proposed regulations ... Comments on the proposed deer and bear hunting regulations must be received by June 25, 2016...
