Jacking” deer is the hunting practice of shining a spotlight on a deer, which causes them to freeze in their tracks, and then shooting them, usually from a vehicle on a back road... Most hunters, and state hunting laws support this, are really into the idea of *hunting* their deer… in daylight, giving the deer a decent chance to escape... The bad news is that it’s still happening, and non-hunters still don’t get it.
