t's a debate that's raged on for years and now the residents opposed to Cayuga Heights' plan to cull the village deer have their day in court.

The suit claims that the village board acted in an arbitrary and capricious manner when deciding on the plan, and that they didn't take into account the impact on the environment, residents, and the community.

"I've never heard a government agency such as the Cayuga Heights village board ever argue that they didn't have to gather together new information to help them make an intelligent and informed decision," said Arthur Giacalone, attorney for the plaintiffs.
