...  more than 30,400 deer have been harvested in the first 32 days of the 2012 season, compared to about 25,700 at the same time last year ...  possibly as a result of good weather early in the season and more liberal bag limits in several southwest Ohio counties... could be from farmers harvesting corn early this year. Deer use the corn fields both for cover and food, so the early harvest might mean the animals have fewer places to hide...
