Probe: Antler confiscation improper November 23, 2011 Ohio, Columbus Dispatch, By Catherine Candisky 

...The yearlong probe by Ohio Inspector General Randall J. Meyer found that wildlife officer Brad St. Clair acted without a warrant or probable cause when he seized and later destroyed the 11-point antler rack. The case was referred to the Guernsey County prosecutor for possible criminal charges....Meyer found that the antlers were legally obtained by Jeffrey Schultice, who said he found the deer carcass while bow hunting on his property...
