Mayor Greg Zilka has hired Precision Helicopter Services out of Cleveland to conduct an aerial count ... the city set aside $8,000  ...  “When we had our discussions, people who were against the culling said we had fewer than 40 deer in Avon Lake,” Zilka said. “Others think there are over 300.” ... Approval would implement a comprehensive deer management program that will combine a sharpshooting unit with the use of contraception to reduce the deer population...
