Cincinnati: Deer culling upsetting some residents October 15, 2010 Ohio

Deer culling upsetting some residents  October 15, 2010  Ohio

Cincinnati Parks are closing certain trails in Mt. Airy Forest, California Woods, Magrish Nature Preserve, Ault and Alms Parks until February. ...

"The recommended density is between 15 and 20 per square mile and in Alms Park we have 91 deer per square mile."

The problem is throughout the city as well as Hamilton County.

So both park systems are allowing qualified bow hunters selected through a lottery to cull the deer

The program leaves Tittle uncomfortable. "I would like to think there's another way to move the deer, relocate them," she says.
