... Between 2000 and 2006 there was an average of 39 deer/vehicle accidents per year in the city. In the last six years, the average has jumped to 92. There were 107 accidents in 2012. While Mayor Robert Stefanik has gone on record as opposing hunting in the city as a way to cull the deer population, some on council continue to express interest in researching the options.
