Ottawa Hills deer dilemma goes to the ballot September 25, 2010 Ohio

The deer hunting debate in Ottawa Hills will be decided on the November ballot.

Residents in Ottawa Hills have been divided on what to do about a large population of deer in the village. Some home owners complain of damage to their yards and landscaping.

Rob Slater put together a website called VillageDeer.com. He says the hunt wouldn't solve the overpopulation. "

Some who oppose the hunt suggest the village upgrade fencing and use better repellent to keep the deer away.
