Solon takes no action on deer management plan, but opponents close to placing Solon Deer Preservation act on Ballot June 23 2011 Urban Plain Dealer

Public Works Director Jim Stanek, who has been asked to put together a new deer management plan, planned to meet this week with Andy Montoney, the USDA's Director of Wildlife Services in Ohio to discuss managing the program. ..Law Director Thomas Lobe informed council no formal response will be required if hunting opponents gather the necessary signatures to get the "Solon Deer Preservation Act" on the November ballot... Their goal is to outlaw any proposal for hunting within the city limits.
