... The annual cycle of animal population does not require the existence of "sport" hunting. There is no basis to support the claim that this activity is necessary to keep deer populations under control. A director of the Wildlife Division of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources once admitted, "If hunting were stopped, deer herds would remain about the same." ... Make no mistake about it -- deer are "managed" for hunting. Your tax dollars at work; yes, you, the nonhunter also supports this industry.
