...she is a lifesaver for about six orphaned fawns at Red Creek Wildlife Center, a wildlife rehabilitation facility on three acres in Wayne Township, Schuylkill County.

By saving others, she has saved herself. 

As foster parent, Momma comforts fawns not her own....
"The younger fawn (Momma) began licking the doe's face to calm her down," Hentz said. "She would stick beside her, lie down with her.

"By the end of the week, the doe was fully rehabilitated and we released her back into the wild. I attribute that doe's recovery to the fawn."
