... A virus, called EHD, is killing off the deer herd in a ten mile radius around Linesville... 
The virus is spread by a tiny insect called a midge. It's only a sixteenth of an inch long. The drought this summer made conditions favorable for the midge to feed on deer along the Pymatuning wetlands.  In only about a month and a half, as much as 75 to 80% of the deer population in the area has been lost...
