This season's deer harvest is far short of 2006 mark January 18, 2012 Tennessee, Clarksville Leaf Chronicle 

According to harvest reports from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, the 2011-12 total deer harvest was 166,700 deer, far short of the record set in 2006 when 182,093 deer were taken. The current harvest report includes 85,208 antlered bucks, 7,818 button bucks, 2,334 antlerless bucks and 71,340 does.
