Cache Valley hasn't seen any documented cases of deer or elk infected with chronic wasting disease since the state began testing for the sickness nearly a decade ago. ..according to Tom Baldwin, the director of Utah Veterinary Diagnostics Laboratory. The lab recently released new results from testing done over the past several months.  Although deer and elk are infected when exposed to the disease in close proximity, the valley is far enough from impacted areas to be safe “for decades,”
