Wildlife Officials Shoot, Kill More Fawns for Disease Testing September 27, 2011

...Two fawns that Freddy Snow was nursing back to health were euthanized in August. Just like the case with Wayne Kinley, wildlife officials said Snow did not have a license to keep deer in captivity....State wildlife officials said licenses are needed to keep deer in captivity in order to prevent the spread of disease....Snow said he found the two does while mowing his grass last spring. The does, just days old, were trying to nurse from their mother, who laid dead alongside the road....
