Scholarly papers, recently submitted for publication, [Michael Samuel, UW professor of wildlife ecology] says, “will sort of argue that there are other strategies that are better than reducing density of deer.” Samuel says he can’t disclose the new developments in CWD control because they’re undergoing peer review prior to being published in scholarly journals -- and scientists can’t publicly talk about research that’s under review. But he’s confident the research will be a game-changer...
