Thumbs down: To the Wisconsin Legislature for passing a bill that would eliminate the controversial Department of Natural Resources program that requires hunters in certain areas to kill an antlerless deer before they can kill a buck. ...We are supposed to get a full report from James Kroll on the state’s deer management practices by June....It makes no sense to prematurely remove a potential deer management weapon from the DNR’s quiver. If politicians are experts on deer management, we certainly don’t need a deer czar or the DNR.
