Wisconsin DNR needs volunteers to search fawns in deer mortality research project  May 13, 2011  Wisconsin  Management  Greenfield Daily Reporter

The Department of Natural Resources fitted about 200 deer with radio collars this past winter. Transmitters the agency implanted in does are designed to signal when fawns are born in late May and early June. The agency needs volunteers to search ...DNR officials hope the effort will give them a better understanding of fawn mortality.
