Wyoming Game and Fish Department biologists and wardens counted about 30 percent more white-tailed deer along survey routes compared to last year. More deer were observed in the uplands, but numbers were reduced along creeks and river bottoms where EHD had the greatest impact. ... biologists also noted good fawn production and survival of mule deer, with just fewer than 900 animals observed... it almost doubled from last year,” said Joe Sandrini, Newcastle wildlife biologist...
