The National Wildlife Federation last week began a series of scheduled community meetings in each state to discuss its study on mule deer, pronghorn antelope and greater sage grouse populations in northern Colorado and southern Wyoming. ...In the North Park area of Colorado, for example, there were an estimated 9,229 mule deer in 1988, the report said. That fell to 4,283 in 1997 and recovered in 2004, but only to about 8,015. There are now about 5,100.
