 Mayor Brian Taylor, who also chairs the deer committee, said that the work that the deer committee has done has been well received by the Ministry of Environment. The ministry recently released their deer ...Taylor also said that this doesn’t mean the city will implement a cull at any near point, just that the options are open. Councillors Michael Wirischagin and Joy Davis also opposed the plan. A deer count completed at the end of May showed that there were less deer in the city than last year. This year they counted 103 deer, down from 124, last year.
