Only one ticket has been written for feeding deer under a the new ban on feeding wildlife in Nanaimo. City council passed a bylaw last year allowing for $100 fines for feeding wild deer or rabbits. ...

To date, the city has logged "less than half-a-dozen" complaints. Most people stop feeding the deer after bylaw control officers talk to them about it.
