Royal Botanical Gardens Facing Backlash over Deer Hunt December 17, 2013 Hamilton

     The Royal Botanical Gardens is facing a nightmarish backlash from people upset by this week’s deer hunt in the Arboretum.  The national historic site says many of its collections are being destroyed by increasing populations of the foraging animals and that it resorted to what it calls a “controlled harvest” of deer only because it ran out of other options.
