Thunder Bay sanctions first deer hunt within city limits August 28, 2012 Canada, Toronto Star
The city didn't want to cull the deer or feed them fertility drugs, so council sanctioned an urban deer hunting season to try to control the problem, said Ron Bourret, the city's manager of bylaw enforcement.... people with valid hunting licenses will be allowed to use cross bows, compound bows, recurve bows and long bows to hunt deer on private property in the city’s rural and semirural areas...
