 ... the general area of the bridge is a natural travel corridor for big game and other wildlife as they move to and from the 8,139-acre Lewis and Clark Wildlife Management Area along the river.  The plan, Kreft said, is to construct 2½ miles of fence on either side of the crossing that will funnel animals into the 15-foot-high by 40-foot-wide underpass... research from other parts of the country indicates it takes three to four years for wildlife to get accustomed to using these man-made travel routes.
